You evangelize ‘Extreme Empathy,’ and can walk in the shoes of our members to help the rest of the team understand how members feel, what they care about, and what they truly need. You love asking questions and listening to the responses. You're better than most at explaining technical jargon through stories that captivate your audience. • Solving a problem, big or small
  • "Getting your hands dirty" – i.e. making things
  • Meeting smart people who have discoveries to share
  • Ticking the boxes when you’ve completed a step in a process
  • Using data, metrics, and reporting to identify patterns for building new products & services
  • Simplifying complex topics without losing the spark of the innovation

You will:

  • Conduct qualitative research with members and staff to uncover problems and extract insights
  • Design for digital (web/mobile), graphic (print), or service (concept) solutions at multiple levels, from broad concept to detailed minutiae
  • Be a compelling storyteller, and a fierce member-advocate
  • Build, test and iterate on product & service prototypes
  • Defend your work with evidence and conviction, while also taking feedback to heart
  • Work with a talented team of full-stack developers, marketers, and product professionals to bring your designs to life
  • Use Sketch and/or Adobe XD along with InVision, Flinto, UXPin or other prototyping apps

Bonus if:
